The first asteroid by ISON-NM observatory

Today, Minor Planet Center released new monthly circular.

Statistic of our observatory for July:

Overall measurements: 2393

Measured objects: 586

Discovered objects: 1 (2010 OE)

So, on July 17, the first asteroid discovered on our observatory. Tempopary designation for this object is 2010 OE and at this time it don’t have officialy published orbital elements. But we can suppose what this object is mars-crosser. The second night (July 21) for 2010 OE obtained by Chri Vhr sky survey. At now, 2010 OE increase own  brightess for 18.6m.

Rosetta close flyby of asteroid Lutetia

Just several minutes ago, European Space Agency (ESA) presented the first images of Lutetia’s closest flyby. The image on the left taken by Rosetta spacecraft from the distance of 3200 km from the asteroid. This image obtained by OSIRIS camera.
